The Triquetra: The Triple Moon is used in Pagan and Wiccan teachings. It represents the threefold nature of the Goddess: As a maiden, mother and crone. The Triquetra symbolizes the three faces of the Goddess, balance of the Mind, Body and Spirit. The circle signifies the ever-turning cycle of life, death and rebirth. It also has been found on runestones in Northern Europe and on early Germanic coins. It had pagan religious meaning and bears a resemblance to the Valknut, a symbol associated with Odin.
